My dad owns a toy shop. He had to replace the aging computer there, so we went to Office Depot.
The Acer PC he got is a mid-range machine, a reasonably nice box and monitor. It came with:
Evaluation copy of MS Office which expires in three months or so (by then you are locked in to the documents you created).
Evaluation copy of McAffee Antivirus, which leaves your shitty Windows open to infection after one month.
The salesman told us quietly that for a fee, a friend could install “copies” of that software. So I ignored him, went home, and installed LibreOffice, GIMP, and Inkscape on that Windows box.
They sell you a non-useful computer and then they want to sell you illegal software. What an outrage!
